When an enabled alert condition is met, the device will record the event and transmit the report during the next evening's communication with the monitoring device.
Alert conditions are predefined in the implanted device and they can be enabled via the MicroPort programmer to trigger automatic alert transmissions when they are met.

Selections will apply at the clinic level and will automatically apply to each patient.
The SMARTVIEW™ solution regularly checks the presence of the defibrillator in order to detect sustained periods of loss of communication. Setting a notification for Monitoring interruption will trigger an automatic notification of these events, thereby letting you know when a defibrillator is no longer monitored with the SMARTVIEW solution.
This setting will automatically apply, as a default setting, to each new patient enrolled on the SMARTVIEW Remote Monitoring website. You may choose one of the following settings:
The date and time these settings were applied to the clinic.
Select this checkbox to compile all alerts into one email or one fax notification.
This table displays the notifications that will be sent when an alert is detected in the SMARTVIEW Remote Monitoring application.
NOTE: It is recommended that the Clinic Administrator mentions at least one contact to be notified for Red and Yellow alerts, to ensure that the clinical team is informed of these in a timely manner.
If an alert is not opened after a period of 5 days, a new one will be sent, as defined in this table.
NOTE: it is recommended to set different contacts for primary notification and escalation in order to better manage alerts.
The monitoring devices allowing wireless communication are meant to be constantly connected to the power and network and placed by the patient’s bed, but there are circumstances when the monitoring is interrupted; the patient is out-of-home for several days, the patient un-plugged the monitor, there is no access to the phone network… After 14 consecutive days of interruption, the interruption is detected by the SMARTVIEW Remote Monitoring System.
The system will send a notification as defined by the Clinic Administrator in the table of this section. If no notification is set, these interruptions of monitoring will not be notified to the Health Care team.
Setting the notifications
This section allows to program the notifications you want to receive for red and yellow alerts, Patient initiated transmissions and interruptions of monitoring.
The Clinic administrator will define the channels for receiving notifications, and specify the type of events for which a notification will be sent, and then will select the validation button to activate the notification setting.
NOTE: The email address, fax or SMS numbers should be carefully entered, to ensure that the alerts will be notified as expected.
NOTE: all alerts will be displayed on the new transmissions page on the website.
