7.2. User Profile

Click on path: CLINIC > Users > Name of User

View the profile for this user. Only the clinic administrator may take an action on this page to reset the user's password or unlock the user.

7.2.1. Profile information

* Username
This field cannot be modified once defined during user setup.
* First Name
Required field. Up to 50 letters are allowed. 
* Last Name
Required field. Up to 50 letters are allowed. 
Phone Number
Enter the phone number according to the following format. You may use spaces, periods, plus signs, parentheses and dashes.
Format: 1 nnn nnn nnnn (1 – area code – number)
Cell phone number
Enter the cell phone number. You may use spaces, periods, plus signs and dashes.
* Email
Required field. Enter the email address for this user. Up to 256 characters are allowed. You may use "@" and "." along with letters and numbers. This e-mail address is used by SMARTVIEW™ to send the login information to the user.
* Role
Required field. You may select more than one role for a user in this clinic.
Clinic administrator: This person performs all administrative tasks for the clinic in the SMARTVIEW™. A clinic may have more than one administrator. The administrator may also be a physician.
Physician with write privileges: This physician will have access to all patient information within the clinic, will be able to schedule and complete remote follow ups, and add additional users to the system. 
Assistant: This person may be a nurse, technician, allied healthcare professional or other similar professional. This role will have access to all patient information within the clinic, will be able to schedule and complete remote follow ups, and add additional users to the system.
Referral with read only privileges: This physician will only have read only access to view their patients' information. This role will not be able to complete remote follow ups or view clinic administrative screens.
Two-factor authentication with SMS
When two-factor authentication is activated and the phone number for sending an SMS is confirmed, the following message is displayed: Two-factor authentication is activated otherwise Two-factor authentication is not activated is displayed.
Click on Activate to enable the two-factor authentication. Then, fill in the phone number to be used for sending the SMS, and click OK.
In order to verify the phone number that was entered, an SMS with a six digit pincode will be sent. Once the SMS is received, fill in the pincode on screen then click on OK.
If the clinic administrator authorizes it, two-factor authentication can be disabled by clicking on Deactivate. One of the password recovery questions will be asked to confirm deactivation.
A clinic administrator can also disable two-factor authentication for a user account.

7.2.2. User System Access

7.2.2.1. System Access

Indicates if the user is able to access the system.

Actions available if applicable to the user’s status:

  • Reset Password: sends an email to the user giving him/her access to return to the site to create a new password
  • Unlock User: if the user had 3 failed attempts to login to the site, the Clinic Admin can click this button to allow the user to login again
  • Activate User: enabled if user has been deactivated in the system and is being viewed by an authorized user, will activate this user in the system
  • Deactivate User: enabled if viewed by an authorized user, will deactivate this user in the system

7.2.3. User Status

7.2.3.1. Clinic Access

Indicates if the user is active in this clinic.

Status values

  • Active: defaults to being selected for the active user
  • Suspended: the user will no longer have access to this clinic in SMARTVIEW™

7.2.4. Actions

Cancel
Click on Cancel to go to the User List without saving changes
Save
Click on Save to save the changes and display a confirmation message
Two factor authentication with SMS
You can activate two-factor authentication for your account that will secure the access to your account. When activated, you will be asked to enter a pincode that will be communicated to you with an SMS sent to your mobile phone.
Click on the Activate button to enable the two-factor authentication. Then, fill in the phone number to be used for sending the SMS and click OK. In order to verify the phone number that was entered, an SMS with a six digit pincode will be sent. Once the SMS is received, fill in the pincode on screen then click on OK.
If your administrator authorizes you, you can disable two-factor authentication by clicking on Deactivate.
